Antiplastic Inc. (doing business as "unplastic") ("Unplastic," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit unplastic.com (the "Site"), join our Waitlist, or participate in our Founder Pre-Order.
By using the Site or submitting your information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with its terms, please do not use the Site or provide any personal information.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us:
- Email address: when you join the Waitlist or place a Pre-Order.
- Name: if you choose to provide it during checkout or correspondence.
- Order information: transaction records associated with any purchase.
- Communications: the content of emails or messages you send us.
- Dental scan authorization: if you proceed with a retainer order, we collect your written authorization to request dental scan records from your provider on your behalf. The scan data itself is used solely to fabricate your retainer and is not retained beyond that purpose.
Information collected automatically:
- IP address and request metadata: collected for security, rate limiting, and fraud prevention. This information is not used for marketing purposes.
- Approximate location: derived from IP address for analytics and regional product planning. We do not collect GPS or device-level precise geolocation.
- Browser and device type: collected as part of standard server logs; used only for operational and security purposes.
Information we do not collect:
- Payment card numbers (processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider; we never see raw card data).
- Biometric information.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Consent: when you submit your email address to join our Waitlist or receive marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Performance of a contract: when processing your Pre-Order and communicating with you about your order.
- Legitimate interests: for fraud prevention, security monitoring, and improving the Site, where our interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation: where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Contact you about your Waitlist position, Pre-Order, or order status;
- Send product updates, launch announcements, and relevant company news (you may opt out at any time);
- Process and fulfil your Pre-Order and future purchases;

- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
We will never use your personal information for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or share it with advertising networks or social media platforms for targeting purposes.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share your personal information only with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the Site and fulfilling our obligations to you. These parties act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
- Infrastructure and hosting providers: We use third-party services to host our site, store data, and process payments. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their functions and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
- Payment processor: Payments are handled by a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. We do not store payment card data.
- Law enforcement and legal proceedings: We may disclose your information where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Unplastic, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you by email before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve our product:
- Traffic analytics: we collect aggregated pageview and traffic data to understand how visitors use the Site.
- Product analytics and session replays: we record anonymized session interactions to improve the product experience. Sensitive form inputs such as email addresses and payment details are not captured.
Analytics data is used solely to improve the Site and is not sold or shared with advertising networks.
7. International Data Transfers
Antiplastic Inc. (DBA unplastic) is a U.S.-based company. Your personal information is processed and stored in the United States. By using the Site, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
For individuals in the EEA or UK, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms as required by applicable data protection law.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:
- Waitlist data: retained until you request deletion or the product is cancelled and all related obligations are resolved.
- Order records: retained for a minimum of seven (7) years for accounting and tax compliance purposes, or longer if required by law.
- Security logs: IP addresses and request logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and fraud prevention purposes.
When your data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymise it. Note that deletion from backup systems may take additional time.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Deletion: request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
- Portability: request that we provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Restriction: request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances;
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.

10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take prompt steps to delete that information. 11. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, access-controlled server-side storage, and restricted internal access to personal data.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You provide your information at your own risk.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Unplastic. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
